Daily Verse and Meditation 04.06.21

All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD,
and all your saints shall bless you!
They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom
and tell of your power,
to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds,
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
[The LORD is faithful in all his words
and kind in all his works.]

Psalms 145:10-13

The LORD is faithful in all He does. Amen!

The Bible is the amazing Word of God. While many people might think it’s a collection of 66 books randomly pieced together over the years, if you really look at it closely and study it, you may find that it’s not random nor just a collection of bedtime stories. All of the major sections of history, instruction, prophecy, and fulfillment are applicable to our lives today.

If you truly have the heart and mind to perceive, you’ll find how God has been working since creation to build His kingdom on this earth. You’ll find how God promises something and then works to fulfill His promises. He says this in Isaiah,

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

Isaiah 55:10-11

We see this happen in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. God promised to send a savior through the Old Testament prophets and prophesied about what that person would say and do. When Jesus came at the time of the first coming, Jesus did what was written of him. Jesus probably wasn’t the only person at that time who claimed to be the “messiah”, but what set Jesus apart from the others, was that everything Jesus did and said fulfilled the OT prophecies. God prophesied things and then when the time came, those things were fulfilled.

When Jesus was here, he promised to come again in spirit and send someone to preach and lead others into all truth (John 16:12-13). He will speak not his own words, but he words Jesus will give him. What are these words? How can we know them?

Jesus told of the events of his return in the four gospels and in the book of Revelation, and told us to believe when they happen (John 14:29). We must have the faith and patience to wait and then believe when they happen and we see them. Will you wait for that time? Will you believe what Jesus said?

Just as God is faithful in all His words, and Jesus is faithful in his words, we must be faithful to their words, and praise God and Jesus for the wonderful things they have done.

Peace
